{Currently} December

Holy guacamole!  I can't believe how the school year had flown by!  December?  How did that happen?!? So I am linking up with Farly for this months Currently!

Listening - We got our wood stove taken out a few days ago and our existing fireplace was in great condition so now we have the absolute JOY of a fire any time we want!!!

Loving - I am the girl counterpart to Buddy the elf.  Seriously, we are kindred spirits!  This is my favorite time of year and I couldn't be more thrilled to be sitting at home watching the snow falling outside my window :)

Thinking - I am allllllll for the occasional snow day.  Especially since we have just gotten a brand new blanket of snow!

Wanting - When I was younger, my brother and I always got a new outfit for Christmas and Easter.  Even though I am a little older, I still love the tradition!

Needing - I find it so hard to focus on grading papers and planning lessons when there are romps to be had in the snow!

Favorite Tradition - I love singing, and I get such joy from singing at church!  And midnight mass is a time where magic just comes alive and there is a little bit of heaven everywhere!

Currently September. . . When did that happen?!?

Holy guacamole!  I made it through my first week of teaching {ever} woohoo!  Now it's September and time to link up with Farley for CURRENTLY September :)

Listening - I have a not so little crush on Mr. Hunter Hayes.  I mean, we are the same age and I was just thinking. . . he's the kind of country star that needs an adorable first year teacher [like myself ] to be to completely smitten with, don'tcha think?

 Loving - My 3rd graders are the absolute SWEETEST!  They just live to please their teacher :)  These kiddos take out the trash just because it's full and are always willing to help in any. way. possible.  I hope they never grow out of such giving spirits!!

Thinking - I put off all my school work, except lesson plans, until today.  I was a frazzle lady!  I spent 5 hours in my classroom then came home to do more work!  Good thing I completely love my job!!

Wanting - I miss Carroll College!  I mean, I couldn't imagine actually being a college student again because four years was plenty for me! I miss all my friends and that sweet Carroll family I left behind.  I am ecstatic to visit during homecoming in a few weeks. . . Go Saints!

Needing - I need a few more hours in between 6 and 10 pm.  But until that happens I will just try and get all my work done in the time provided :)

Loving - The last of my good friends is moving away from our tiny little town *tear*  but I am going to take this opportunity to make some new friends!  It's really not too bad because I like making new friends!

After moving back to podunk U.S.A. I have jumped head first into youth ministry and music ministry in my parish.  I am so excited to be working with such a phenomenal group of individuals!  What a great place to make more friends!

Well there you have it! Now that I am getting into the swing of school, I am going to try harder to post more regularly. . . but we will see how that goes :) 

Currently {August}

Can you believe its AUGUST already?!?!    in exactly 26 days (yes, 26 days!) I will start my very first day as a teacher ever!  Woohoo!  To celebrate such a fantastic month, I am linking up with Farley over at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for the Currently August linky par tay!

I just love love this show!  To be honest, the characters remind me of my group of friend (although we're not that smart) but they are a rather witty bunch :)

Loving 
Watching lightning and rain outside my window is just one of the many things I love about summer. And rain doesn't come all that often in my neck of the woods, so whenever it does show itself I can't help but drop everything and watch

Thinking
I only started teacher blogging mid summer and I am so thankful for all of the fantastic resources I have found and I can't wait for all of the connections I hope to make in the years to come!

Wanting
Dr. Pepper is my go to drink when I go anywhere. . . its just 29 flavors combining to make one fantastical drink

Needing
I'm thinking that the Dr. Pepper could really help me with this!  I'm about half way done setting up my classroom but I haven't even started on my curriculum yikes!  On second thought, I might need 2 sodas...

B2s Must Haves

• I am a planning machine!  And having one place to put all my appointments and to-dos is a must!
• Correcting piles of papers is just so much more fun with colorful pens!
• I have been going through all of my clothes to find the perfect first day ever as a brand new teacher outfit but so far I have been unsuccessful.  But I still have 26 days right?!
